As the Hindenburg’s tail crashed into the ground, a burst of flame came out of the nose, killing three of the six crew members in the bow. As the ship kept falling with the bow facing upwards (probably because there was more lifting gas still in the nose), part of the port side in front of the front engine and behind the passenger deck crushed in, and a third fire started, erasing the scarlet lettering “Hindenburg” while the ship’s bow lowered.
History captured on film… impressive over and over again. A complete documentary in less than two minutes.
